Foo Tokyo has been bringing out pajamas, room wear, and towels that are close to the skin. As ever, we will continue to deliver baby items to the world while paying close attention to materials, production backgrounds, and designs.
In recent years, Foo Tokyo items have been handled by famous department stores such as Isetan Shinjuku , and have been highly evaluated nationwide.
Foo Tokyo baby goods use the rare super-long-staple organic cotton "DCH-32", which accounts for less than 0.001% of the world's cotton production. The farm is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in southern India. Despite being surrounded by a harsh environment where the difference in temperature between day and night is more than 20°C, organic cotton is grown healthily thanks to the blessings of the seasonal winds that blow from the Arabian Sea to the Indian Ocean.
Extra-long cotton “DCH-32” is grown on organic cotton cultivation farms contracted by Japanese spinning companies. Organic cotton is cotton that has been grown without genetic modification on land that has not used pesticides or chemical fertilizers for more than three years.
In ordinary cotton cultivation, which is not organic, many chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used to stabilize the yield and harvest early because the purpose is mass production. However, instead of using insect repellents to control pests, this farm uses traditional hand-made medicinal herbs.
In addition, by carefully hand-picking each one, the cotton fibers are not damaged, and the fluffy texture can be maintained when the yarn is finished.
