Concept
We have always created products in pursuit of a comfort that draws out a deep, contented sigh.
Combining the craftsmanship we have cultivated over the years, a new loungewear line is born from Foo Tokyo.
Each time you wear it, body and mind gently loosen, as if drifting into a daydream.
May such luxurious moments of rest make your tomorrow shine.
A Smooth, Supple "Mokurodi" Fabric
The main material is extra-long staple cotton — often called the cashmere of cotton — prized for its moist, smooth touch and excellent moisture absorption.
The yarn is knitted into mokurodi fabric: a densely knitted material with jersey-like stretch, a smooth feel against the skin, and a refined luster.
A Pattern Designed Around How You Sleep
This piece is designed with side sleeping in mind.
A three-dimensional pattern with room around the chest and shoulders is combined with raglan sleeves that let your arms and shoulders move freely — a construction also used in sportswear such as soccer and baseball shirts, making it easy to turn over and move your arms during sleep.
Spun, Knitted, and Sewn in Japan
Drawing on the pajama-making expertise Foo Tokyo has built over many years, we devoted ourselves to touch and quality in this piece as well.
To reduce bulk and prickliness at the seams, we use flat-seamer construction: a special four-needle machine sews the two fabrics flat, so no seam allowance ridge touches your skin, keeping it comfortable even after long hours of wear.
Spinning, knitting, and sewing are all carried out in Japan — Made in Japan through and through.
