About Our Organic Cotton Towels

What we create are products that draw a soft sigh of relief. Foo Tokyo towels are the kind you bury your face in and breathe out a contented "phew."

The material is rare organic cotton, with a harvest of less than 0.001% of the world's cotton production. Hand-picked so as not to damage the fibers, it keeps exceptional softness even when twisted into yarn.

Foo Tokyoオーガニックコットンタオル

Organic cotton from India becomes fine yarn and is finished as "Foo Tokyo towels" in Imabari, the famous towel-producing region. Manufactured with special techniques and time to bring out the texture of the yarn, they achieve a fluffy feel you cannot let go of once you have used it.

With Foo Tokyo's wish for "time to truly relax," the corner of each towel is embroidered with our original logo — a bird symbolizing peace and happiness.

A Story of Colors that Feel the Passage of Time

Foo Tokyo towels areThree colors: White, Pink, and Charcoal Gray. This color lineup was inspired by the story of a single cherry tree.

It is the Usuzumizakura, one of Japan's five great cherry trees. Known as a cherry tree boasting 1,500 years of age, its pink buds turn white as they reach full bloom, and with the ripening of years take on a pale ink color — the origin of its name.Three colors that evoke the beauty of passing time.
