Care guide: Cotton Product
Foo Tokyo’s cotton wear is crafted using only the world’s finest cotton—varieties so rare that they account for just a few percent of global production. Each piece is thoughtfully matched with a specific cotton type, selected to complement its texture, design, and color. We hope you’ll find the perfect garment to suit your personal taste and lifestyle.
Take, for instance, our cotton pajamas made from Victoria Merino Wool—a luxurious yarn born from an exquisite blend of naturally functional extra-long Supima cotton and a touch of extra-fine Merino wool. The result is a fabric that offers both refined softness and exceptional breathability.
Or consider our Royal Organic Cotton Double-Button Pajamas, made with DCH cotton—an ultra-rare extra-long staple cotton that makes up only 0.1% of the world’s cotton harvest. Enhanced with a silk-like mercerized finish, this fabric delivers a lusciously smooth texture, perfectly suited for elevated relaxation.
How to wash cotton products
〜STEP 1: Preparation〜
While hand washing is always a gentle option, our items can also be machine-washed if placed in a laundry net. We recommend using a delicate cycle such as a “hand wash” or “dry care” setting. (Please refer to the care label on each product for specific instructions.)
〜STEP 2: Washing〜
To maintain the fabric’s original texture and softness, we suggest using a mild detergent or garment soap. Since cotton is sensitive to heat and may shrink, always wash with water below 30°C.
〜STEP 3: Drying〜
Avoid using a tumble dryer, as it may cause shrinkage. Instead, air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area to protect the fibers from sun damage and maintain the fabric’s quality.
